Oh what a relief, I get to talk about art not in my USU 1330 class. In my 1330 class I am always looking at art and having to dissect it. Do they use short strokes? What does the texture of this painting do to you? How did the use of a color add or take away from the painting? Luckily for me this is an English class and better yet just a blog so I do not have to go that deep into my psyche. Fact of the matter is I just like to look at a picture and decide whether I like it or not. No color, no lines, no nothing, just yes or no. With all the examples given there is a clear cut winner for only one reason. I like painting number 5. My reason is simple; it has good looking women in it. I think the gal on the right with the white top, black dress and white headband I could look at for quite a while. She is very pleasing on the eyes. The blonde is not hard to look at either. All the other pictures are just boring. People in a room, people not in a room, abstract looking people in a room. Art for the most part is not something I am very interested in. So evaluating from the seven different paints was not a challenge in the fact that one has pretty girls all the other do not. Granted I will say number four does amuse me a little bit because I don’t quite no what is going on with the guy in the background with the little Speedo thing on. I am actually happy I do not have to stare at it longer and talk about how it makes me feel. I definitely like discussing art on my blog instead of my class. Did I mention that one gal is a looker J(323)
